Pseudocode & Pre-loaders
Encoding Exercise:
Pre-loader Exercise
Create a loading icon (aka preloader or throbber) animation with code.
Modifying a previous sketch created in ICM, I extracted a couple elements and changed their visual qualities to make a looping graphic. Below are some common characteristics of preloaders that I find interesting
My preloader includes simple geometry that have dynamic movements and visual qualities. The pair of circles are fluctuating in size, while the crosses are fading in an out while rotating on their own axis. The pairs are changing in unison with each other but the shapes are cycling on their own cadence. This creates consistency and familiarity, while introducing slight variety to keep the viewer's attention. Comments are closed.
