After some more discussions this past week, my project has fallen into place to create testing tools that feel less cumbersome and attempt at a hassle free testing experience when sourcing materials at vendor sites, but also documenting experimentation at home.

​I had an informal conversation with Tom about my project and he suggested that I take apart an old analog multimeter to find circuit inspiration, but chances are, I will need to use an SMD of some sort to make the testers as lightweight as possible.

Prior to user testing, I was juggling between interesting interaction design and content organization - the feedback I got was to do both - indicating the user position on my very minimal site was crucial, and I got some inspiration on possible ways to use hover and scroll interaction to indicate way finding.

My final project is a resource that can aid creators who are experimenting with soft materials, especially those that are conductive. This resource will include a worksheet template that highlights important metrics to consider when testing materials. I also hope to develop a couple a DIY-able tester tools that are not as robust and more portable than a multimeter.
